Bulk Storage Rack Upright Frames: 10,500 lb. per frame for beams on 36" maximum centers and lowest beams 18" maximum above the floor. 8,300 lb. per frame for beams on 48" maximum centers and lowest beams 24" maximum above the floor. If beams are not used at the bottom of posts, posts must be anchored to the floor. If beams are used at the bottom, this bottom storage level does not count in figuring the allowable frame loading. Note that footplates make it easier to level the racks, and proper leveling is essential.
